About Delta Sigma Pi- Beta Upsilon
Delta Sigma Pi has many collegiate chapters all over the nation. The Beta Upsilon Chapter was founded here at Texas Tech on October 25,1947. Our chapter is heavily involved in the Rawls College of Business as well as the Lubbock community. We pride ourselves on bettering each and every one of our brothers personally and professionally.
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Delta Sigma Pi was founded on November 7, 1907 at New York University: School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken.
Currently, Delta Sigma Pi is headquartered in Oxford, Ohio, its location since 1956. Today, coast to coast, there are over 300 collegiate and alumni chapters and over 275,000 members around the world.
